Which format should you use?

• JPG — universal for photos
• WebP — usually smaller than JPG for the web
• AVIF — often smallest; encoding is slower (local WASM)
• PNG — lossless; quality slider does not apply

Tips

Resize dimensions first if the image is larger than you need — fewer pixels often saves more space than quality alone. For bulk jobs, use batch mode and download a ZIP.
